RTE Title Co. is a closing agent for mortgage loans and issues title insurance policies. Because we are lawyer-owned, we resolve the legal problems that come up in a contract of sale or a closing. For instance, we make sure that sellers do not cancel contracts without understanding the legal consequences of a lis pendens, and that buyers do not cancel without information about the risk of forfeiting their deposits. We handle title problems rather than give them to the customer and tell them to hire a lawyer, like most title companies.
